The Danna Langkawi is located on the west of the enthralling Langkawi island or sometimes known as Legendary island as it is enshrouded with legends and myths. It is an archipelago of 104 islands overlooking the panoramic Andaman Sea and off the Western Coastline of Malaysia's mainland. This island derived its name from the abundance of eagles on the island. "Lang" comes from the Malay word "helang" which translates to Eagle and "kawi" stands for reddish brown, as you will be able to spot eagles flying through out the island.
The main tourist attractions on the island are idyllic white sandy beaches with swaying coconut trees and crystal clear blue water. Langkawi is declared as a duty-free zone and was named World Geopark by UNESCO in June 2007. The three main conservation areas are Island of the Pregnant Maiden Lake, Kilim Karst Geoforest Park and Machincang Cambrian Geoforest Park.
